1. Definitions
“Property” means Currumbin Valley Hideaway and all associated accommodation, facilities, grounds, and amenities.
“Guest” means the person making the booking and all persons staying at or visiting the property under that booking.
“Management” means Currumbin Valley Hideaway, its owners, managers, employees, contractors, and representatives.
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking.
- The balance payment must be received before check-in unless otherwise agreed.
- Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation policies displayed at the time of booking form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Unless otherwise stated:
- More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund less any processing fees.
- 14–30 days before arrival: 50% refund.
- Less than 14 days before arrival: No refund.
No refunds will be provided for:
- Early departures.
- Change of mind.
- Weather conditions.
- Road closures outside our control.
- Power, internet, or utility interruptions caused by third-party providers.
Management may provide refunds at its sole discretion.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in is from the time specified in your booking confirmation.
- Check-out is by the time specified in your booking confirmation.
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement only.
- Additional fees may apply for unauthorised late departures.
5. Occupancy
- Only registered guests may stay overnight.
- Maximum occupancy limits must not be exceeded.
- Additional visitors require prior approval from Management.
- Unauthorised parties or events are strictly prohibited unless specifically booked and approved.
6. Property Use
Guests agree to:
- Respect neighbouring properties and the surrounding environment.
- Keep noise to reasonable levels at all times.
- Comply with all instructions provided by Management.
- Use the property and facilities safely and responsibly.
Guests must not:
- Engage in illegal activities.
- Damage property or furnishings.
- Remove items belonging to the property.
- Disturb wildlife or native vegetation.
7. Fire Safety
Currumbin Valley Hideaway is located in a natural bushland setting.
Guests acknowledge:
- Fire restrictions may apply at any time.
- Fire pits may only be used when specifically permitted.
- Total Fire Ban restrictions must be observed.
- Guests must follow all Queensland Fire Department directions and local regulations.
Management may prohibit the use of outdoor fires at any time.
8. Wildlife & Natural Environment
Guests acknowledge that the property is located in a natural environment and may contain:
- Native wildlife.
- Insects.
- Reptiles.
- Uneven ground.
- Natural waterways.
- Fallen branches and vegetation.
Guests accept responsibility for exercising reasonable care while on the property.
9. Children
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
Children must not be left unattended around:
- Fire pits.
- Water features.
- Bushland areas.
- Parking areas.
- Outdoor facilities.
10. Damage & Additional Cleaning
Guests are responsible for:
- Any damage caused during their stay.
- Missing items.
- Excessive cleaning requirements.
- Additional waste removal costs.
The cost of repairs, replacement, or cleaning may be charged to the booking guest.
11. Events, Retreats & Weddings
Where events, retreats, workshops, or micro weddings are permitted:
- Separate event agreements may apply.
- Event guest numbers must not exceed approved limits.
- All required permits, licences, and approvals remain the responsibility of the organiser where applicable.
Management reserves the right to immediately terminate any event that breaches these terms.
12. Internet & Utilities
Wi-Fi and utility services are provided as a convenience only.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous internet availability.
- Mobile phone reception.
- Uninterrupted power supply.
- Third-party service performance.
No compensation will be payable for interruptions beyond our control.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Guests enter and use the property at their own risk.
- Management is not liable for loss, theft, injury, accident, illness, or damage suffered by guests or visitors.
- Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Indemnity
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Currumbin Valley Hideaway, its owners, employees, and representatives against claims, losses, damages, costs, and liabilities arising from:
- Guest actions or negligence.
- Breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Injury or damage caused by the guest or their visitors.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather.
- Flooding.
- Bushfires.
- Pandemics.
- Government restrictions.
- Utility failures.
- Natural disasters.
16. Privacy
Personal information collected during bookings is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be used to:
- Process bookings.
- Communicate with guests.
- Comply with legal obligations.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
