Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, stays, visits, and use of facilities at Currumbin Valley Hideaway.

By making a booking, entering the property, or using our accommodation and facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms apply to bookings made directly with Currumbin Valley Hideaway and bookings made through third-party booking platforms, including accommodation marketplaces and travel providers.

2. Definitions

"Property" means Currumbin Valley Hideaway and all accommodation areas, buildings, facilities, grounds, gardens, rainforest areas, pathways, and amenities.

"Guest" means the person making the booking and all persons staying at or visiting the Property under that booking.

"Management" means Currumbin Valley Hideaway, its owners, managers, employees, contractors, and authorised representatives.

3. Booking & Payment

All bookings are subject to availability.

A deposit, full payment, or other payment arrangement may be required at the time of booking.

The Guest agrees that:

• Booking details provided are accurate and complete.
• The number of guests stated in the booking is correct.
• Payment obligations will be met according to the booking terms.
• Prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
• GST is included where applicable.

Management reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings where information provided is inaccurate, fraudulent, or where these Terms are breached.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation policies displayed during the booking process form part of these Terms & Conditions.

Unless otherwise stated:

More than 30 days before arrival

• Full refund less any non-refundable booking or processing fees.

14–30 days before arrival

• 50% refund.

Less than 14 days before arrival

• No refund.

Refunds will generally not be provided for:

• Change of mind.
• Early departure.
• Personal circumstances.
• Weather conditions.
• Road closures outside Management's control.
• Internet, power, water, or utility interruptions caused by external providers.

Management may consider exceptional circumstances at its discretion.

5. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in and check-out times are provided in your booking confirmation.

Guests must:

• Follow check-in instructions.
• Provide required information before arrival.
• Vacate the accommodation by the stated check-out time.

Late departure without approval may incur additional charges.

6. Occupancy & Visitors

Only registered guests may stay overnight.

Maximum occupancy limits must not be exceeded.

Additional visitors require prior approval from Management.

The following are not permitted without written approval:

• Parties.
• Functions.
• Events.
• Commercial activities.
• Photoshoots.
• Weddings or celebrations.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate a stay where occupancy limits or booking conditions are breached.

7. Property Use & Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

• Treat the property, accommodation, furnishings, and facilities with care.
• Respect neighbours and surrounding properties.
• Maintain reasonable noise levels.
• Follow safety instructions.
• Respect the natural environment.

Guests must not:

• Damage property.
• Remove furniture, equipment, or belongings.
• Disturb wildlife.
• Damage native vegetation.
• Introduce invasive plants, animals, or materials.
• Engage in illegal activities.

8. Smoking, Vaping, Alcohol & Illegal Substances

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any accommodation areas.

Guests must dispose of cigarette waste responsibly.

Illegal drugs or unlawful activities are strictly prohibited.

Excessive alcohol consumption, disruptive behaviour, or behaviour that impacts other guests, neighbours, wildlife, or property safety may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.

9. Fire Safety & Bushland Conditions

Currumbin Valley Hideaway is located within a natural bushland and rainforest environment.

Guests acknowledge that:

• Fire restrictions may apply.
• Total Fire Bans must be followed.
• Outdoor fires may be restricted or prohibited.
• Weather conditions can change rapidly.

Guests must follow all Queensland Fire Department requirements and instructions from Management.

Management may prohibit outdoor fires at any time.

10. Wildlife & Natural Environment

Guests acknowledge the Property is located in a natural environment.

Guests may encounter:

• Native wildlife.
• Insects.
• Reptiles.
• Uneven surfaces.
• Natural waterways.
• Fallen branches.
• Vegetation hazards.

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care and supervising children at all times.

Wildlife must not be fed, handled, chased, or disturbed.

11. Children & Safety

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.

Children must not be left unattended near:

• Water features.
• Fire areas.
• Bushland.
• Wildlife areas.
• Parking areas.
• Outdoor facilities.

12. Pets

Unless specifically approved by Management, pets are not permitted at Currumbin Valley Hideaway.

Approved assistance animals may be permitted where required by law.

Guests must disclose any approved animals before arrival.

13. Damage, Loss & Additional Cleaning

Guests are responsible for:

• Damage caused during their stay.
• Lost keys, access devices, or property items.
• Excessive cleaning requirements.
• Unauthorised guests.
• Additional waste removal.

Management reserves the right to charge reasonable costs for repairs, replacement, or additional cleaning.

14. Events, Retreats & Commercial Activities

Events, retreats, workshops, photography sessions, and commercial activities require prior written approval.

Separate agreements, fees, insurance requirements, and conditions may apply.

Management reserves the right to stop any activity that breaches these Terms.

15. Internet & Utilities

Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and other services are provided as a convenience.

Management does not guarantee:

• Continuous internet availability.
• Mobile phone reception.
• Uninterrupted electricity.
• Third-party service reliability.

No compensation will be provided for interruptions outside Management's reasonable control.

16. Security Cameras

For guest safety and property protection, external security cameras may operate at the Property.

Cameras are located only in external areas such as:

• Driveway entrance.
• Parking areas.
• External property access points.

No cameras are located inside guest accommodation or private guest areas.

17. Liability

Guests acknowledge that Currumbin Valley Hideaway is a natural environment and accept responsibility for exercising reasonable care.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Management is not responsible for:

• Loss or theft of personal belongings.
• Injury caused by guest negligence.
• Damage caused by guest actions.
• Events outside Management's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights and protections available under the Australian Consumer Law.

18. Indemnity

Guests agree to indemnify Currumbin Valley Hideaway, its owners, employees, and representatives against claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Guest negligence.
• Breach of these Terms.
• Damage caused by guests or visitors.
• Unauthorised activities.

19. Force Majeure

Management is not responsible for failure to provide accommodation or services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

• Flooding.
• Bushfires.
• Severe weather.
• Natural disasters.
• Government restrictions.
• Public emergencies.
• Utility failures.

20. Privacy

Personal information collected through bookings, enquiries, and guest interactions is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information may be used to:

• Process bookings.
• Communicate with guests.
• Provide accommodation services.
• Meet legal obligations.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
